Objectives for Fraternal Year July 2008 -2009

Increase Council’s visibility within the Parrish Community and remain an active supporter of Parrish Activities, Parrish Ministries, and various not-for-profit organizations that hold our Catholic values.  Grow our Council’s core membership in order to increase our ability to be leaders in our community.  Plan and execute programs in holding with our principles:  Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.

Our Planned activities for the year are:

1. Support5 Fr. Simon’s 25th Anniversary CelebrationSupport the Music Ministries Summer ConcertContinued participation oin the RSVP program to Proved lunch for the Religious Education Department’s Teacher FormationSupport Trivia Night and with a spaghetti dinner to support Pro Life programs and gardenSponsor a Soccer Challenge for the youth of our ParrishHave a family picnicParticipate in Taste of  St. BenedictSupport EDGE group with their annual Halloween Hoe-DownSupport the Women’s Guild’s Holiday BazaarSpread the Keep Christ in Christmas program by selling Christmas Magnets and Christmas CardsHave a family Christmas PartySponsor Free Throw Competition for the youth of our ParrishWork with Women’s Guild on Lenten Fish Fry’sSponsor Parrish St. Patrick’s Day PartyCelebrate Divine Mercy Sunday with a Mass and saying the RosaryVidalia Onion Sales
2. Hand out Roses on Mother’s Day

Increase Council Visibility within the Parrish CommunityIncrease Social Interaction within the Knights and other Parrish organizationsImprove the Quality and Content of business and social meetingsImprove Communications Plan to get Brother Knights on roll more involved by attending meetings and participation in other council activities.Plan fund-raising activities so we can use the proceeds to support more needy causes than we have in the past.Determine if we want to do these efforts or add others and establish a chairman and staff for each one. Schedule Start/End dates for each one and determine financial objectives.
