Brother Knights,
Just a reminder about the upcoming 2nd Degree on 2/7/09 at St. Thomas the Apostle Council 12386 in Smyrna (see below for details), and the 3rd Degree on 1/31/09 at Notre Dame Academy (note: I had the location wrong in my previous emails/calendar).  The next 3rd Degrees will be on 2/21 in Woodstock and 3/7 and 4/18 in Roswell.
 
So far we have 6 members scheduled to attend the 3rd Degree:  Michael Turchin, Mike Dawkins, Steve Campbell, Mark Von Plinsky, Greg McGrail, and Bill Magyar.  I still need someone from the Council to meet and escort the candidates to the School so they arrive at 9:00 AM.  If you are able, please let me know.  If you are a 2nd Degree member and are interested in attending please let me know so I can let St. Monica's Council know.
 
I invite all 1st Degree members, especially our newest members who joined this past week:  Jose Perez, James Barket, Joe Shaginaw, and Jack Wilson.  If you are able to attend, please let me know.  Also, I will need a member who can escort the candidates to the degree.  They will need to be there at 9:15 AM.

Worthy Grand Knights,

There will be an Exemplification of the Second Degree on Saturday, February 7th, 2009, to be hosted by St. Thomas the Apostle Council 12386, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4300 King Springs Road, Smyrna, GA  30082. The Second Degree will begin promptly at 10AM in the Social Hall. Candidates should arrive by 9:15AM and should be accompanied by a member of their council. Observers should be in the chamber no later than 9:45AM.

Appropriate dress for all is coat and tie.

A donation of $3.00 per candidate and $2.00 per observer is requested.  Please make checks payable to Council 12386.

As a courtesy to the host council, please advise the host Grand Knight Anthony Riviere by phone 770.732.3175 or email ajriviere@aol.com with the number of candidates and observers.

This is the perfect opportunity to get all of your First Degree members ready for full Knighthood on February 21st in Woodstock.
