Dear Brothers,

Our council will be active again this weekend with several events planned:

- Year of the Priest – prayer card distribution - The Knights of Columbus will distribute prayers cards after all masses this weekend in honor of Pope Benedict’s declaration of this year as the “Year of the Priest”. We need a few brother Knights to help pass out the prayer cards after each mass. Please check with the other Knights you see before mass and arrange to get the prayer cards from our storage closet. Please distribute the prayer cards at each entrance after mass giving one to every parishioner who wants one. Please wear your K of C name badge when passing out the cards. This is one of the unique activities where we are just giving “gifts” and with a little help from each of us this should be a wonderful experience for all. - Taste of St. Benedict – Saturday, October 3^rd – The Knights of Columbus will be participating in this fun event and will be sponsoring / serving food from Ireland and tending bar for the evening. The event is scheduled from 5:30 to 8:30 in the PLC and is a great way to visit with other parishioners and enjoy some great food from around the world. Worthy food and refreshment experts John Meurer and Patrick Gannon are coordinating our council efforts at this year’s Taste of St. Benedict! Please stop by Saturday evening for a great time!

- Next Knights of Columbus Meeting – Monday October 5^th – We will have our first meeting of October this Monday, October 5^th in the PLC. Food will be served at 7:00 and the meeting starts at 7:30. Please plan to attend to learn about upcoming council activities and initiatives.
