Please see the note below from Vince Pusateri regarding our help with the Christmas Card fundraiser in support of the new Parish Family Center. Additionally we will be participating in the St Benedict’s annual Ministry Fair this weekend in the PLC. This provides an excellent way to reach out to the parish about the Knights of Columbus and our council and our works to support our faith, our parish and our community. We are asking that all brothers please make plans to support these two projects by stopping by before and / or after the mass you normally attend this weekend to help out with Christmas Card Sales or the Ministry Fair.

Dear Brothers,

I spent some time this weekend working at St. Benedict's with Sally Kazin on the Christmas card sale fund raiser for the new Parish Family Center. Father Flood has asked us to work after Mass to help sell cards.  The cards look very nice and have a spiritual message. We need volunteers to sell the cards after every mass starting on October 31 until the end of November. I think 2 -3 brothers will be enough after each Mass. The cards sales are located in the open area in front of the parish offices and displayed on the table. If you want to take some cards outside in the front  of the church as well as the table I think it is good idea.

Christmas Card Sales Instructions

1. The cards sell for $10.00 a box and we are no longer taking orders since the cards have arrived and now available for pick up and New Sales. If a parishener comes back to pick up his order make sure you collect the MONEY since there were no pre sales in advance just orders. Ask them how many boxes they ordered and cross their name off the order list so we will know who picked them up already.

2. I have put the cash in the money box in our closet top left hand shelf as you enter. The first person to arrive on Saturday and Sunday should get the money box to make change. Use the envelopes I put in the box by date  and sign your name on the outside and seal it up and place it back in the box. The last person to finish for the night or morning should put everything back in order. Return the money box to the closet and lock the door.

3. The cards are on a cart already boxed up in ther kitchen off the vestibule .

4. We will not be collecting any shared profits for this event this year but all the money goes to the Parish Family Center anyway.

5. I have invited Sally the artisit to come to our meeting on November 2 to say a few words about her inspititrational work of art . I think we should also consider selling the cards outside of St. Benedicts to other parish Kof C councils and friends and neighbors. If you are interested you can buy a box a box at the meeting to use for your sales efforts.

6. We still have around 250 magnets left over that we will be selling on Donut Sunday outside the church.

Once again we need your support after Mass for the next 5 weeks to keep our tradition of Keeping Christ in Chrisitmas alive with the sales of cards and magnets.
