Dear Brothers,
We again had an excellent turn out for our meeting on Monday
night and had several honored guests attend and / or present at the meeting.
Guests included Sally Kazin who is the artist for the painting being used in
the Christmas Card – Parish Family Center – fund raiser and she
presented the history behind the painting before the meeting started.
Deacon Gerry Kazin (Sally’s husband) stopped by at the end of the
meeting to check in on his form 100 status J and lastly Father Paul
stopped by at the end of the meeting to talk about caring and giving and to
offer support and appreciation for all that our council is doing to help build
a stronger and more active parish at St. Benedict’s and beyond.

list of candidates to six who are awaiting the next First Degree
Exemplification.
-
The next two First Degrees are on November 9th at St.
Brendan’s and December 14th at St. Monica’s and we will
be working with the candidates to coordinate. As a side note any brother knight
is welcome to attend and observe a degree exemplification they have already
passed as there is always something new to learn!!!!

Degree Exemplification – Patriotism - this Saturday, November 7th
at the Airport Westin Hotel.

Congratulations was offered to Jamieson Cannata who became a

was provided by Ken Brooke and we have 2 contestants from our council who are
advancing to the State level competition!
-
Our Knights will be helping with the St. Benedicts annual
Christmas concert on Saturday - December 5, 2009 and we will need 5 – 6
volunteers to help with the hospitality after the concert. Please respond to
this email if you are interested in helping.
-
Our Financial Secretary, Lou Coroso will be preparing the annual
dues statements for 2010 in the coming weeks and we will be offering a way for
brothers to pay their dues and save the council time and cost. Please look for
an upcoming email with a form attached which will allow brothers to complete
the form and pay their dues by turning this into the K of C mailbox at the
church or by bringing to a meeting. This will save our council postage and
processing time. For those brothers who don’t take advantage of this new
option, regular dues statements will be sent out following the email process.
-
We will hold our Annual Council Christmas Party in the PLC on
Sunday December 13th, from 2 – 4 PM. Santa Clause will be
arriving to see the little ones so please mark your calendars!
-
This weekend we will be selling Christmas Cards to support the
PFC and Krispy Cream Donuts (special fat free and sugar free versions…. OK so
they’re not diet food but it does make them sound irresistible!!! ) to
support the RSVP program. We may also be selling “Keep Christ in
Christmas” car magnets depending on our availability of inventory. Please
stop by our table to help your fellow brothers in this important work. We
especially need help on the Saturday and Sunday evening masses. Please contact
Vince Pusateri at vince_jp@hotmail.com
if you can help at these times. This keeps our council’s visibility in
the Parish high and it is a great way to get to know your brothers and
parishioners better and to have some fun along the way!!!!
-
Our council is proposing to hold a Day of Reflection and
Marriage Renewal based upon the K of C foundation principal of Charity. The
tentative date for this event is Saturday February 13th from 11-3. A
