Dear Brother Knights,
We have a active couple of weeks coming up and we wanted to
pass along the details so you can plan your support and involvement accordingly:
Next Meeting
Our next meeting with be on Tuesday, September 8th
(the day after Labor Day) at St. Benedict in class room 6 / 8. At this meeting
we will be holding a First Degree as well as our normal meeting. Due to the
First Degree food will be served after the meeting which start at 7:30 PM.
First Degree Candidates need to be at the church by 7:00 PM
Degree Update
As just noted we will be conducting a First Degree
Exemplification at our next meeting on September 8th. Other Degree
notes are as follows:

There was a Second Degree last Thursday at St. Brigid
and we had members of our council participate. Please join me in congratulating
Brothers Jose Perez, Joe Shaginaw and Patrick Nwanze on
becoming members in the Second Degree. Also thanks to our membership
director – Andrew Martin – for coordinating this degree.

There is a Third Degree coming up on Saturday -
September 12th at All Saints in Dunwoody. This represents the best
opportunity for our members to complete the Third Degree in preparation for the
upcoming Fourth Degree on November 7th.

Next Saturday – August 29th - there
will be a combined First and Second Degree Exemplification held in Clarksville,
GA (between Cleveland and Taccoa – 25 miles NE of Gainesville). This
represents another opportunity for members to get their degree’s
completed in time to attend the upcoming Fourth Degree in Atlanta.

This Weekend
We will begin to sell tickets for the upcoming Spaghetti Dinner
and we could use your help. Please stop by the table outside either before or
after your Mass to help sell tickets. Angelo most likely be around and
coordinated the printing of tickets.
RCIA Sponsors
We have been made aware of a couple of younger RCIA
candidates who are in need of a sponsor in the 17 – 20 year old range.
Having a sponsor near the same age helps with the exchange of ideas and with
the formation process. If you know if any younger parishioners who may be
called to this ministry please contact the RCIA department at St. Benedict for
more information.
Knights of Columbus – Pictures
We are preparing a picture frame for public display to show
some of the activities we are involved with as we do the works of our council.
This is being coordinated by brother Joe Losurdo. We are requesting that
brothers with pictures of our projects email them to Joe at joe@tgedirect.com.
