Dear Brothers,
We hope you and your families had a wonderful Thanksgiving
holiday last weekend!
There are several upcoming events that we are participating in
and with the extra week between meetings we wanted to pass along this update to
help you plan and coordinate your participation. Here are the details of the upcoming
activities:
1.
Our next meeting with be this Monday, December 7th.
Since Tuesday, December 8th is a Holy Day of Obligation for the
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, we will gather to attend the 7:00 PM vigil
Mass at St. Benedict and immediately following the Mass we will hold our
council meeting and food will be served.
2.
Our council will be helping with the St. Benedicts annual
Christmas concert this Saturday - December 5, 2009 and the following
brothers have volunteered to help with the hospitality after the concert
including:

The coordinator for the event
is Heidi and we are requested to wear black pants, white long sleeve shirt and
a Christmas Tie! We will need to help put tables away at approximately 7:00 PM
or before the last song if your attending the concert.
3.
We will be having our Family Christmas Party on Sunday - December
13th, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 PM in the PLC at St. Benedict. We still need your
RSVP!!! Attached is the current list of received RSVP’s. If you are not
on the list and plan on attending please send an email to Mike Dawkins at to mikeandjill@mac.com or michael.dawkins@sprint.com to
confirm your attendance. We need to have everyone’s reply no
later than December 6th . Please provide the following information with
your RSVP:

If you are attending please let us know how many family members
will be coming, and please specify the number of adults versus children:_______________

Of the number given above for Children, how many will be joining
Santa to share their secret wishes?_____________________
4.
We will still be selling Christmas cards and magnets after each
mass for the next two weekends. Please help out after mass you attend to help
sell Christmas Cards!
5.
We are proceeding with the acquisition of a Ping Pong table for
the rectory and will be requesting help to set up the table in the rectory once
delivered.
6.
We have traditionally provided a small financial “gift’
to the priests each Christmas. This will need to be brought up as a motion and discussed
and voted on.
7.
Degree Update – Here are the upcoming Degrees:
o First Degree - December 14th
at St. Monica’s – 7:00 PM
o Second Degree – December 12th
at All Saints – 9:00 AM (Bruce Margine and Ryan Bertrand are planning to
attend)
o Third Degree – January 23rd
– at St. Monica’s - TBD
