Here are the notes from our business meeting last Monday  – February 1^st:

1. Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM by GK – 34 Knights present at meeting.

2. New Membership Applications – Form 100’s

o Peter Radynski   - Approved.

o Richard Mistretta - Transferred In

o Dick Meredith - Transferred

3. The Grand Knight report included the following updates:

o Upcoming Degrees:

· 1st Degree @ St. Brendan's March 8th

· 1st Degree @ St. Thomas the Apostle February 24th

· 2nd Degree @ St. Michael the Archangel February 18th

· 3rd Degree @ St. Michael the Archangel February 20^th

· Hispanic 1st Degree March 14th, Father Carlos assisting.

o Congratulations to our newest member – Pete Radynski who took his first degree and along with Tim Dimond who both took their second degree yesterday  at St. Thomas the Apostle in Smyrna

o The K of C District 16 meeting will be held at St. Benedict in August

o As of February 1^st the our worth Financial Secretary indicated that we still have 42 Brothers with dues outstanding. Please send in your dues payment if you have not already done so.

o We received a Thank You note from our RSVP Seminarian that our council supports – Ronald Conklin

o The Mother’s Day Roses Program planning is underway and Rick Phillips will be co chairing this event with Rick Stapleton  

o Feb 20, 2010 – K of C Free Throw Contest – at Holy Redeemer – need volunteers – see Ken Brooke – Participants receive free Hawks Tickets

o Feb 13, 2010 -  Marriage Renewal/Day of Reflection – Ken Brooke coordinating – 17 couples have signed up – not too late please see Ken to participate

o March 6^th – Banks and Shane Concert – PLC – Coordinated by Mike Stapleton, Lou Coroso and Greg McGrail. Ticket sales going well – please help to sell tickets after mass.

o Upcoming Dates:

· Lenten Fish Fry

o 1st Lenten Fish Fry Feb 19, 2010

o Need 6-8 guys each Friday until March 26, 2010

· Feb 8, 2010 – Officers Meeting at Angelo’s house

· Feb 16, 2010 -  Council 10633 Social Meeting (Tuesday)

· February 19, 2010 – Father Paul’s Birthday

· Feb 28, 2010 -  Pancake Breakfast Fund Raiser

· Mar 6, 2010 -  Banks and Shane Concert, approx 300 people, sandwiches and beer – Tom Cook - Chairman

· April 28, 2010 – Pancake Breakfast

4. Vidalia Onion Sales are being planned – 225 Bags this year – stay tuned.

5. Jose Perez is to chair the coordination of the Knights participation in the Habitat for Humanity project this year

6. Cathy Eddy, parishioner and mother of a son serving in the middle east presented a plaque to Council in appreciation for donations to troops.

7. The next 4^th Degree Meeting will be Wednesday, February 10th^th and will be held at Notre Dame Academy.

8. More information regarding the concession stand fund raising opportunity is being prepared – stay tuned.

9. Meeting closed at 9:10 pm with prayer by GK.
